In our conversations with radiologists, we often encounter misconceptions about artificial intelligence (AI). They range from great enthusiasm coupled with the conviction that AI is always better than a human, regardless of the task at hand, to great skepticism about AI in general. So there seems to be a big gap in understanding AI with all its potential, but also its limitations. Therefore, we have joined forces with well-known academic institutions as well as other AI experts and education experts in Europe, such as Uniklinik Köln, Data Science Center in Health (DASH) at UMCG, University of Tartu. Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, University of Groningen, 8D Games BV, FutureLearn, ArtiQ and OneVision Healthcare GmbH teamed up to fill this gap through an interactive online training offering. The resulting course is part of the EIT healthcare project AIProHealth (Practical Artificial Intelligence (AI) for healthcare professionals) and contains theoretical and practical information about AI, including the potential and limitations of AI in healthcare. Using real-world examples, it helps you identify the opportunities & risks so you can make informed decisions about using AI in your daily work. At every step of the course, it's possible to meet other participants, share ideas, and engage in active discussions.
