The analytical procedure and report generation takes about 3-5 minutes. This can vary a bit depending on your local computational power. Therefore, it is in principle possible to discuss the results with your patient during the same appointment.

No, you don’t! mdbrain is a closed system seamlessly integrated into your local PACS as a so-called on-premise solution that only runs in your local IT system. As no data leaves your system it provides maximum data safety. Anonymization and pseudonomization therefore is not necessary.

mdbrain is designed in a way that patient data is only stored locally in our own IT-System and also all processing is done locally. Therefore, mdbrain provides maximum data safety.

mdbrain is installed locally as so-called on-premise solution and is seamlessly integrated into your local PACS. The system requirements are reasonable: a LINUX- or Ubuntu-Server (can be a virtual one) with Intel-i7-CPU (4 cores), 16 GB RAM and 500GB HDD is in most cases sufficient for fast processing. The analysis can be significantly accelerated by using a graphic board. Our support team can provide you with more detailed specs and is also able to provide support for your local installation.

mdbrain is approved as a medical device within the European Union and bears the CE mark. This means that it can be used on patients throughout Europe and is partially reimbursable according to local regulations.

mdbrain is billed according to a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. This means that you do not have to purchase any software and only pay for as many analyses as you actually use. You automatically benefit from future product enhancements and extended functionality. The usage fee depends on the monthly volume of examinations. For a high volume of examinations, a complete quantitative analysis is possible for less than 5€. We will gladly provide you with an offer tailored to your situation and needs. You can also test our software free of charge and without obligation.

mdbrain can process almost all DICOM image data generated by MR systems by Siemens, Philips, GE or Canon/Toshiba with 1.5 or 3T field strength. Although mdbrain can work within a broad range of sequence parameters and image quality, we recommend specs to see optimal results.

Brain volumetry: 3D-T1-MPRAGE sequence with an in-plane resolution of at least 1.0 x 1.0 mm².

Lesion characterization: (3D-)T1 sequence and 3D-T2-FLAIR sequence, both with an in-plane resolution of 1.0 x 1.0 mm².

Aneurysm detection: TOF sequence with an in-plane resolution of 1.0 x 1.0 mm².

Tumor differentiation: 3D-T1 sequence with an in-plane resolution of 1.0 x 1.0 mm², 3D-T2-FLAIR sequence with an in-plane resolution of 1.0 mm x 1.0 mm, T1 sequence with contrast medium with an in-plane resolution of 3.0 x 3.0 mm² and T2-Spin-Echo sequence with an in-plane resolution of 3.0 x 3.0 mm².
